The TWIN2PIPSA project was present at the Ciências Research & Innovation Day, an event that aims to display the scientific excellence of the Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa. The research and academic community of Ciências ULisboa had the opportunity to know more about TWIN2PIPSA consortium and its scientific developmental goals through a talk given by the project coordinator, Professor Cláudio Gomes. In addition, the most recent findings of the TWIN2PIPSA ULisboa team were presented by the PhD students Nuno Oliveira, from the Computational Biophysics Lab, Margarida Simões, from the Protein Misfolding and Amyloids in Biomedicine Lab, Fernanda Murtinheira, from the Cell Structure and Dynamics Lab, and Inês Ventura, from the Bioadhesion and Biomimicry Research Lab.

The Ciências Research & Innovation Day is an event that takes place within the Ciências Research and Innovation Week 2023, which is dedicated to uncover the various innovation branches being developed at Ciências ULisboa, focusing on the three main current societal challenges - the rise of artificial intelligence, climate action and energy transition. Taking place from 23 to 27 of October, several events will allow the Ciências ULisboa community to discover the diversity of scientific projects developed at the Faculty, but also to know the members of FCiências.ID, the Association for Research and Development of Sciences, thereby providing opportunities for networking and to pave the way for future collaborations.

"This event is an opportunity to publicize and celebrate the quality of research and innovation developed at Ciências ULisboa, the ideal occasion for sharing knowledge, establishing collaborations and reinforcing the sense of identity of this century-old institution, a national and international reference," the subdiretor of the faculty for the research area Margarida Santos-Reis underscored in a press release.
